Equity, Diversity and Inclusion





Building on the foundational work of the Gender Equity Hub under the World Health Organization's Global Health Workforce Network, this theme will focus on how best to support evidence-informed policies and transformative changes for promoting equitable, diverse and inclusive health workforces. This theme will focus on expanding understanding of the enablers and barriers to improving work life within and across groups of healthcare providers, as an underlying prerequisite towards achieving health system aims of improved population health, sustainable costs and enhanced patient experiences.

Theme Lead:

neeru gupta

Neeru Gupta is an Associate Professor at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, and a member of the editorial board for the Human Resources for Health journal. Her interests include research design and metrics to help inform health policy and practice through a social determinants and equity lens. Her current projects include the use and analysis of population-based survey and administrative datasets to assess contributors to gender pay gaps in the health professions.
