In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, pharmacy service providers are encouraged to work with licensees of long-term care homes to make alternate arrangements, if possible, for the provision of such services, as listed above, especially for homes that may be in outbreak. This Guide to the Provision of Pharmacy Services in Long-Term Care Homes during the COVID- 19 Pandemic is intended to help pharmacy professionals servicing long-term care homes navigate this process together with licensees of long-term care homes and addresses the following areas:
1. Participation on an interdisciplinary team
2. Conducting audits to evaluate the medication management system
3. Participation in drug destruction
4. Documentation of medication reviews
5. Delivery and Returns
6. In-service Education/Communication
