Health Workforce Innovations in Response to the COVID Pandemic
Chiropractic telehealth visits during the COVID-19 pandemic
Need to reduce exposure of patients and providers during the pandemic and maintain continuity of care even
if services can't be offered in person for everyone.
Telehealth chiropractic visits during the COVID-19 pandemic offer the possibility to help patients who need
emergent or acute neuromusculoskeletal care, potentially allowing them to decrease/manage their pain, and
may avoid the need for an in-person visit with a chiropractor or a hospital emergency department visit with its
related risk of increased exposure to COVID-19. In many jurisdictions, chiropractors can still treat emergency
or urgent patients in-person.
