Home, community and long term care are critical areas with which to focus on the health workforce considerations. Expanding home and community care figured prominently in the Federal Minister of Health’s mandate letter and is a key shared health priority between federal, provincial and territorial governments from Budget 2017. Renewed interest in the Long Term Care health workforce has emerged from critical issues that have emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic. This group will focus on the key health workforce issues across these overlapping sectors.
