4th Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (Nov 15 2016)
Building the Human Resources for Health (HRH) Investment Case for Achieving Global Health Goals
Date: November 15th 2016
Time: 8am-5:00pm PST
Low- and middle-income countries face an anticipated deficit of 18 million health workers if they are to meet the SDGs. Recent work by the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and others increasingly links HRH investments to better health outcomes, job creation, and economic growth. But, how can we measure these impacts?
Join the USAID HRH2030 program, THEnet, and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine at HSR2016 in Vancouver for a day of presentations, discussion, and debate on the prioritization of HRH investments for global health based upon expected socioeconomic returns. We will explore the importance of quality HRH data, discuss the current evidence, and identify opportunities for more rigorous research.
