Telfer School of Management: Healthcare for Millennials: Opportunities and Challenges (May 30 2017)
A lasting impact on Canadian healthcare can be achieved with smarter ways of organizing work. In this special presentation, you will hear about three promising areas of transformation. Professor Ivy Lynn Bourgeault cites opportunities to reimagine and reinvent how we organize the healthcare workforce, in response to critical health human resource challenges. Professor François Chiocchio recognizes the interdependence of work teams as another fruitful avenue for progress, emphasizing how diverse healthcare professions can acquire a new repertoire of skills to work more effectively together. Professor Craig Kuziemsky, for his part, identifies a role for business-of-health innovations enabling individuals to step outside their silos and become integrated into collaborative teams.
